On behalf of the immigrant families served by IFSI, we are asking for your help in providing critical programming and practical relief for our students and families during these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

IFSI Online Academy is serving 60 current students and an additional 30 newly immigrated students who have not been able to register for school due to COVID 19 and expects more referrals from the BPS Office of English Language Learners every week. IFSI has supplied over 50 laptops and iPads to children to aid in home learning. Students interact online with an IFSI instructor LIVE to receive assistance on school work for at least 2 hours each day as well as remote musical instrument instruction. We are ensuring that our students do not fall behind!

IFSI is a vital part of the Emergency Relief Task Force to support families who lost jobs during this crisis.  Many undocumented families will not have any access to any benefits (unemployment or stimulus package).  IFSI is helping families with groceries, rent payments and online training.

IFSI, with its partner the True Alliance Center, is providing legal and translation services to 65+ families with young children. Additional legal assistance is now required for individuals under the Medical Deferment Program who can no longer afford health insurance and other undocumented workers and asylum seekers.  We anticipate increased need for lawyers and funds to support this work.

We know it's a lot to ask right now, but please support IMMIGRANT FAMILIES by clicking the button below and giving as you are able. IFSI needs you now more than ever.
