PLUS+ After School
PLUS+ After School serves children in pre-k through high school every day from 3pm to 6pm during the school year. PLUS+ provides small group and individual homework help and grade appropriate skill building. IFSI's goal is to help children meet and exceed grade level aptitude. In addition, PLUS+ offers musical instrument instruction and hosts a variety of extra-curricular activities including chess lessons, a coding club and test preparation for exam and independent school entrance requirements. IFSI also takes pride in fostering a nurturing and safe environment for our students to learn and develop intellectual curiosity.
PLUS+ Summer serves children in Pre-K through 8th grade during a 6 week program in the summer. Mondays though THursdays, students be grouped by grade in the morning to work in small groups in mathematics and english language arts with individual tutoring as needed as well as hands on experiential learning. In the afternoon, students will participate in extra-curricular activities such as music, art, physcial fitness and more. Middle school students will participate in hands on STEAM program in the mornings and join the extracurricular activities during the afternoons. Fridays are special days devoted to field trips and hosting visiting specialists who interact with the children and reinforce classroom learning.
The Navigator Program helps recent immigrants join and thrive in their work and social communities.
IFSI offers Adult Education in the subjects of English as a Second Language (ESL) and Computer classes. Learn important skills to enhance your job and career prospects. Currently the classes are offered remotely. Please contact us or register today!
IFSI's Navigator Immigrant Integration Program will serve families by providing one-stop education and access to information and receipt of a variety of services including but not limited to job generation, housing, health care, educational options and other social services. This program will take advantage of IFSI connections with leading educational institutions, community agencies and immigrant services organizations.
IFSI trains and faciliates peer learning among high school aged youth in effective advocacy techniques. IFSI partners with Boston Public School to identify youth leaders and to hold traning sessions in BPS locations in and around the greater Boston metropolitan area.
