IFSI currently offers the following programs for adults who have recently immigrated to the United States:

  • Advocacy Programs for families adversely affected by the expiration of Temporary Protective Status including legal aid to find alternative paths to citizenship
  • Community Outreach Programs including Parents Workshop on secondary school options, academic counseling, advising and introduction to the college application process as well as a weekly radio program to disseminate information about public health, current events, and other relevant topics.

 

In the future, IFSI plans to offer the following for new immigrants:

  • Certification and Job Placement for Professionals
  • Linguistic Integration/ ESOL Classes
  • Computer Classes
  • Literacy Classes
  • Translation Services 
  • Referral Line for Immigration and social services
