Cultivating Hope
IFSI Builds a Bridge

A Community Left Waiting
Mattapan is resilient. It is vibrant. But it has been underserved and overlooked for too long.
-
Poverty remains significantly high, limiting access to opportunity and stability for too many families.
-
Services are fragmented, forcing residents to navigate disconnected systems to get the help they need.
-
There is no centralized infrastructure to support the unique needs of immigrant families—who make up a significant part of the community.
-
Chronic trauma, stress, and systemic neglect have left lasting scars—and growing families with too few places to turn.

The Solution
IFSI’s new headquarters on Babson Street will enable it’s effective “one stop center” model to expand and scale.
In Mattapan, IFSI is a fully -integrated partner, collaborating with all existing community resources.
Babson Street will expand this community hub bringing together vital services under one roof, continuing to meet the complex, interconnected needs of immigrant individuals and families for generations to come.
Everything Under One Roof
Babson Street will bring together:
• Immigration legal assistance
• Youth enrichment programming
• Expanded job training and workforce development
• Housing navigation
• Mental health programs
And Add:
Early Childhood Program
No more bouncing between providers.
No more missed opportunities.
Just one door. One future. One community.
The Vision: What We’re Building
Our expanded community hub (24,404 sq.ft.) will enable IFSI to continue to address the evolving needs of our community.
- Increased access to services
- Eliminating barriers through cultural competency
- Expediting transitions for families
The Promise
The operating pro forma outlines a trajectory for sustainability.
The core assumption is that the move to Babson Street will dramatically reduce occupancy costs while maintaining a fixed rental rate of $7/sf for the length of the 77 year lease.
Program expansion to include childcare services and rental space will increase revenue.
Best practice financial management will keep expenses in check.
